Your remorse hasn't fallen on deaf ears rather ones that just don't care because I know that you're in between arms somewhere next to heartbeats where you shouldn't dare sleep
There is a never-ending cycle that surrounds all living things, a cycle that envelopes each and every one of us, and each of us play our own part. Some of us are evil power hungry tyrants, while others simply laze by, smiling at life. There is a great difference between these two, so obviously everyone cannot be classed as one or the other. There are many different variations on these qaulities, some might be evil, but not power hungry. But some qualities almost always go hand-in-hand, like evil and tyranical. Those who have hearts of black are almost always tyrants, but then again, as earlier mentioned, there are always those we do not fit into the status qoe. This cycle, these generalzations, apply to everyone. We each fit into our own special category, and we each live, and we each die. This applies to all, however there are those choice few who this cycle excepts. Those very choice few, born close to the sun, reaching out and grabbing golden rays.
Empty another bottle, and let me tear you to pieces
Those choice few, who are legends. Famous, who never die. Sometimes that phrase can be metaphorical, as they live on in the hearts of their faithful, or perhaps, it could even be literal. Rukia, the famous fox, and her famous tree, the tree that all the forest animals pay their respects to. And now, here was Lucine, the one who spited the animals of the forest, and the one who usually scoffed upon legends. But here, this was living proof. She paid respects to Rukia, her and her ancient tree counterpart. The dark flitting shape had circled the clearing for hours, gathering up courage, and she the one who usually barged in no problem. Finally she entered the clearing, bright spring sunshine shining down upon her black overcoat. She lifted her nose into the air and emitted the customary 'wow-wow-wow' sound of the fox, assuring it would be carried far into the distance, she sat down, waiting.
And did you hear the news? I could dissect you and gut you on this stage not as eloquent as I may have imagined but it will get the job done, you're done

The vixen's nose twitched in her slumber. Paws scrabbled at the ground, tail thrashed against the bedding of leaves, grasses and molted fur. Amber orbs opened slowly, framed in long black lashes. Pink tongue darted out, swiping across her nose and a yawn followed the action. Stretching her paws before her, a gentle warmth spread through her body. A small smile flickered across Rukia's lips. The gentle caress of the mind was her morning welcome given by Eltrym. She mentally returned the "hug" and hauled her lithe body to her paws. Padding softly from her burrow beneath her achient friend, Rukia gazed up lovingly at the branches which had sheltered her for so long.
Yet another comes searching for their power. Eltrym muttered slowly within Rukia's mind as her eyes scanned the clearing. They landed upon a dark figure, flitting between the other trees of the wood. Rukia's brow furrowed at the thoughts the tree was putting within her mind. Seems rather flighty for one of the Rhana-Shou. Are they not supposed to be cold and cruel? Why is this one frightened of us? Rukia ignored the statement. Reclining to her haunches, she settled in to wait. Some took their time gathering their courage about them. Closing her eyes, Rukia's mind probed gently at the unknown visitor's. A vixen like herself, a darkling who had come to pay her respects to the elders of the forest. A wise thing to do, no doubt. Opening her eyes, she watched with satisfaction as the fae stepped into one of the few patches of sunlight that mangaged to make it's way between the branches of the forest canopy. The call was responded to in Rukia's quiet way. She strode forth from the shadow of her tree and inclined her head as welcome.
Greetings Lucine. Rukia said gently, her voice calm and reassuring. It troubled many when Rukia knew their name without inquiry. I need not ask why you venture here... you want your inner strength awakened. I only want to hear your motive as to why you wish to know your power. No sense in lying either... I already know your intentions. But, be it for good or evil, I would like to hear you speak of it. Rukia bowed her head, tucking her feet neatly beneath her body as she sat, wrapping her tail about her body.

empty another bottle and let me tear you to p i e c e s
Lucine raised her eyebrow at the vixen, the one who had escaped the cycle, the one who was eternally blessed with immortality. Interesting... Interesting in deed. In fact, it piqued her interest, and usually the only thing that did that was a new male to taunt, or perhaps an old carcass of bones to play with. But everything about this vixen proved interesting. She raised her head to speak, then lowered it once more, thinking about her answer. A pink tongue flicked out and swirled around her black lips, a small furrow of concentration on her forehead. Alright, and now she had the answer, and she raised her head, opening her mouth to speak to the proverbial goddess of the tree.
this is me wishing you into the w o r s t situations
"Yes, my name is indeed Lucine, and how you got this infortmation, I won't even dare probe farther. But yes, I have come here to seek the power within myself," She nodded once she finished speaking, them her eyebrows raised slightly as she asked 'why.' Well, she didn't really have an answer for that. "At most you might assume I want to cause destruction, death, and just general havoc, eh? As appealing as that sounds, it's not that. I can do that very well on my own, thank you." She smirked at this and flicked her ears forward, her natural boldness overcoming her fear of the myths. "I have come because I need an edge in battle, as I plan to pursue the position of beta, and beside my already keen fighting skills, I know I'll need an edge." She nodded firmly and looked over at Rukia, wondering if this answer would fit her question.
but you wouldn't know a good thing if it came up and slit your t h r o a t
Birds flitted overhead, chirruping uproarusly and twisting magnificently in the air, their bright colors flashing in the sunshine. Lucine rolled her eyes up and tilted her head, her dark purple eyes following the flitting shapes until they broke free of the canopy of trees. She smiled briefly and flicked her ears back to catch the noise of a small fawn and doe trotting through the forest some yards back, at a respectful distance to the tree. Dark lids closed over her dark amethyst eyes before they blinked open again, showing just the smallest flash of jade before they looked normal. Well at least as normal as purple eyes can look. That smallest bit of jade rested in her right eye, just barely visible. One couldn't even see it unless you looked right into her eyes, and were nose to nose with her. Which obviously no one would, for fear of getting their own eyes gouged out. The vix smiled lazily, like a cat that had just eaten a nice fat mouse, and turned her purple eyes back on Rukia.

The goddess of the tree? Oh my dear, how truely mistaken you are. Eternal life is not something to wish upon another. It is the most horrible torture you can dream of. To watch all those you love wither away and die as you remain eternally young... it get's very tiresome and once you become withdrawn to save yourself from others to save yourself the heartache... you know death would be kinder then the curse" Rukia has upon herself. Her amber eyes watched as the vixen seemed to answer, then revise the reply she had come up with. Yes, the first was a falsehood and I would have caught it. Good Vix... Rukia thought to herself, while the gentle pressure in her mind became a constand shove. Eltrym was ready and Rukia needed to tell the vix of her powers.
Rukia smiled softly as the one called Lucine did not press her as to how she knew her dubbance. Smart thinking, a mortal like yourself couldn't get your youngling mind around such thoughts. Poor dears...
Your intentions aren't what you say dearest. You will use your powers to bring about an unnatural and early demise to others. An edge in battle... good try, but tis a falsehood. You want to bring darkness to the woods of Eltrym. But we are not ones to stand in the way of the children, we are meerly here to observe and reveal your strength. You want it to help place yourself higher then others. Sadly, the gods view everyone on the same ground... no powers shall help you there... Rukia trailed off and sighed. So many come before her, power hungry and murderous. Tragic really. Raising her head, Rukia's eyes melted into pupiless ice blue orbs. A windy screech escaped the vixen's maw, a sudden coldness came to the shady clearing. Her voice was not her own, it was deeper and slower, as though it belonged to another who was speeking through a vessel. Eltrym had spoken. Rukia's head slumped to her chest, eyes returning to their brilliant amber. No doubt the fae hadn't understood the words of the tree. You power is that of the Unmaking. Beware of your gaze... You can change things to their original forms: to bones, to fur, to blood, to muscle, to atoms... elements. By muttering the word Rsakcha and staring hard at an object, they will become unmade. Meerly a pile of components that have no use or life. Becareful Lucine... the power you weild is strong. Train or risk your eyes betraying you in a time of need.
Rukia observed the fae with her purple eyes and inclined her head. This one is here to serve. I know how to train all the powers we can give. If your are wanting lessons, you need only ask. Rukia sighed and gazed back at Eltrym. Why would they entrust such a powerful gift to one who's intentions were so dark? The tree knew best...

Well, the vixen had saw past the little facade, but then again it wasn't entirely a lie. Lucine had expected her to see through the tiny fib, but she didn't expect what came next. A cold wind ruffled her fur, and Rukia's eyes changed, becoming bottomless pits of icy blue. Her voice was slower, and deeper, and almost slightly delayed, but not quite. She ruffled her own fur as the fox's head slumped against her chest, and shivered slightly, her ears flicking back against her head. Now, when the vixen spoke of her power, it amazed her. What a wonderful thing, what a wonderful power. Now Lucine wasn't stupid, not one little bit of her was stupid, her mind and body consisted of 65% cleverness, 5% impulse, 10% evil, and 20% pride. Well, mostly. She tossed her head into the air and let forth a yip of thanks, to the tree, to the fox before her, well she was happy. Lucine's purple eyes were turned back upon Rukia and she nodded. "I shall take heed of your words, respected one, and I shall stay for a few lessons, wouldn't want myself turning my alpha to a useless pile of components now would I?" She said, smiling only slightly, a hint of sarcasm in her words. She believed it the other vixen's words all too much, and was slightly afraid of her own power. But she couldn't resist it, she just couldn't. The birds were annoying her, anyway. Lucine looked up, at a particularly chatty robin that was ticking her off, she stared at it hard, and imagined interesting ways to kill it, and finally she muttered the word. "Rsakcha." It slipped from her mouth, heavy, almost a tangible substance. Time seemed to stand still, until her eyes flash jade, and the robin dropped, landing with a thump, the dead flesh rotting away until only a few feathers and bones were left. "Ooh, I like this." She whispered, looking over at Rukia and bowing. [/color]
