Basic & OOC rules
1. Try NOT to fight on the OOC boards. Maybe I should re-word that... do NOT fight on the OOC boards. All it takes is one small argument and you loose 20 people. And that would be bad... and bad things are never good.
2. Respect and obey the Admins. We are guarding all the doors, we are holding all the keys. What I say goes. If I say redo your post, redo the post. If I say your bio isn't up to par, fix it. If I say jump off a bridge, you jump. Just kidding. But I do expect and demand to be treated with respect. I'm no noobie admin who lets the rpers walk all over me. Go ahead, call me a meanie or a beeotch. Think of me as your boss. At times I like to joke around, other times seriousness is key. You have to read between the lines. I'm a complex person and it's up to you to judge your actions accordingly. When in doubt, be nice. And I'm sure the other admin agrees with all that.
- G-mods. Each and every one is different. Some won't hold it against you if you talk back, others will mark you for death. Know who you're dealing with before you go and "diss" one jokingly. But I also require them to be treated respectfully. AKA: no back talking or badmouthing. They are I disagreements, helping me with this site Think you can do better? Apply for the position and quit complaining
- Mods. Again, they're all different and have different levels of tolerance. Some may put up with backtalk, others might go to one with the authority to ban or delete. I just want you to respect my staff, because without them, Of the Lake wouldn't be what it is
3. Try not to be TOO hateful directly to people here. You can tell a person straight out "Hey, dude, I really don't like you, could you please stop bothering me?" and such, but I don't want to see: "You're a looser, noobie, freak-show, just go die, I hate you and your lame life, etc." Its immature and annoying. And will result in a quick dismissal from the site
4. Liquid rping is allowed *having a charrie in more then one place at one time* but I don't wanna see you starting 20 threads all over the place just to get a chance to rp, I have this thing about clutter...
5. I don't want to see any one-liners here. Anything less then 300 words will result in a warning. I'm not talking like 297 but 150 is not acceptable. Lack of muse, writer's block, etc. is NOT an excuse. One you have been warned 3 times for bad posts, you will be banned for 3 days. If you post badly again, another warning will result in a permanent ban. I've even provided a word counter at the bottom of our pages. So there is no excuse for under-written posts. Ramble on about nothing if you must, as I'm doing right now, but just fill the quota.
6. When a thread is finished or closed, please let an admin or g-mod know, telling them the title and location of the thread. I hate having old, outdated threads hanging around...yes I'm a neat freak, I know. They will be moved to the archives section if you're looking for them
7. Absolutely no chat-speak! You all know what I'm talking about. Crap like "4sho" and "2marrow" is unacceptable! This is a literate site and requires literacy meaning punctuation and capitalization. It doesn't have to be perfect just don't abbreviate simple words! Lean how to spell!
8.Any species of foxes are allowed. =^.^=
Need any help, PM me. I love helping people understanding the world. Seeing that I have no life, I'm on almost 90% of the day, save school and sleeping. But being an insomniac has it's advantages...
In Character Rules
1. Fights will break out *ish looking at the boys* I don't mind battles, scuffles, or the occasional visit to heaven or hell, but try to keep yourself alive
2. Try not to do graphic stuff. You know what I mean, kissing is fun, but there are limits
3. Please don't spam pages with utterly pointless OOC chat. That's what the OOC board is for. If I catch it where role playing should be, you will receive a warning and the thread deleted. Now I'm not saying you can't say: ((ooc: hey, I'm just looking to make some new friends, anybody wanna rp? etc)) before your post. Go ahead! In fact, its much easier for people to find a place to rp if you tell us what you're looking for, be it a friend, crush, rival, enemy etc. Saying a quick hi or whatnot before the post is also fine. I'll let you know if what you're writing ooc isn't acceptable. A good judgment call is that the ooc stuff should never be longer then the actual post
4. Foxes are supposed to be in their pack-lands at night, but hey, rules were meant to be broken. So long as you don't mind getting in major trouble if any with a higher rank catches you
5. Do not power-play. Short, sweet, and simple. If I see god-modding of any kind, you will be warned and/or punished. If you are an Alpha and are battling a pup you still cannot god-mod or powerplay...but ask yourself first, why the heck are you fighting a pup?!
6. Listen to the Alpha Male & Female. They are the almighty, powerful being. Unless you are from another pack...then you will have your own leaders to answer too. But still, respect me and your leaders with the utmost care. We worked hard for these positions.
7. Cursing is allowed in and out of character, but not every other word or to wards another member. A mild cuss here and there is alright. If I catch swearing to wards another member, even in fun, it's cause for instant dismissal. Don't abuse this privilege, it can be taken away just as easily
Charrie creation
1. As soon as you have been accepted you can start role-playing. But please don't jump right into the middle of a thread that has already say, 10 replies. Some people don't want another person barging in. And especially don't invade private threads. If you feel its essential for your charrie to join, ask ooc first, or PM the concerning members. It's only polite
2. No multiple charries on an account. One charrie per account. And don't go creating like, 10 accounts just so you can get your charries. Less is more
3. Post a thread in the Eltrym tree board and your power will be given to you if you're deemed worthy.
Random Rules & Facts
1. Breeding can only occur in the spring. Pregnancies must last at least 2 rl weeks. Post you and your partner's bios in the breeding section and I will be along to give you your pup's stats. Pups will be birthed ONLY in your pack lands, or if you are a loner, the meadow, but breeding can occur anywhere. And anything graphic results in a banning.
2.No odd colors. We are a semi-realistic rpg. We're giving you powers, so settle with that. Go crazy on the eyes though, I love random eyes.
Most Important Rule
HAVE FUN! If you're not having fun, its not really my problem. But don't go and post rude things. Just leave if you don't like it. Or lurk the site if you must, but keep comments to yourself
PUNISHMENTS
You will be warned.
You will be banned from the site for three days.
You will be banned from the site for five days.
You will be warned, again!
You will be exiled from the site. Your account will be removed, IP addy blocked and anything I can do to stop you from returning will be done
These punishments all vary on the offense
